FAQs

Can I buy a ticket on the day?
No. Tickets are presale only to ensure every child gets a prize. Buy your tickets via Kindo before 9am Monday 16th March to avoid missing out.

Who can participate in the year level dashes?

The year level dashes are open to current Ōmata students only. Register for the dash that matches your child’s year level at school.

Who can participate in the 3-legged dash?
This event is open to any team of 2 - adults, children and mixed-age teams all welcome. We’ll supply a tie to join your legs together, which should make for an interesting race across the field.

What to bring and what about the weather?

The event will go ahead rain or shine, so check the forecast and be prepared with any warm, waterproof clothing you and your family need to be comfortable outdoors for the night. Wear sturdy footwear for your races and consider bringing a bag to carry any eggs you find.

Can I do the dash with my child?

Definitely for the Year 0-3 dash. If you have an older child who needs support, we are happy for you to go with them – just speak to us at the registration desk.

How many eggs/prizes will my child get?

Each child can pick up 1 coloured-plastic egg redeemable for a prize. There will also be lolly-scramble treats scattered with the plastic eggs – no limit on these but please consider others and play fair.

What are the prizes and can they be exchanged?

We have a range of prizes to appeal to most children, ranging from chocolate easter eggs and other confectionery, toys, vouchers, merchandise and more. Prizes have been allocated randomly. As we are providing one prize for each child, we don’t have spares and can’t accommodate exchanges.
